What was asked
The request was for an equipment housing intended for exterior placement. Its mounting and access features had to make sense as one assembly, with the mounting face carrying a particular importance in how the housing would meet its installation.
The review began with those relationships rather than applying a material label to a generic enclosure. Access, mounting and the intended environment were the context for the route.
The brief treated the housing as part of an installed object. That gave the review a practical order: first establish how it is mounted and opened, then make decisions that preserve those relationships in the build.
What the review changed, and why
Review kept the mounting face continuous and retained the housing within one build. That avoided introducing an assembly relationship at the point where the housing was intended to meet its mounting arrangement.
The material and orientation decisions followed from that approach. The route was chosen around the actual housing and its access features, so the build record could state why the geometry stayed together without generalising from it.
The change also made the mounting arrangement a visible decision in the record. It did not disappear into the wider housing shape or become a feature considered only after the main form had been chosen.
What we made
We made the ASA housing as one build, retaining its mounting face and access geometry as a single relationship. The material, nozzle and layer values in the table are the build record for this piece.
No photograph is published for this case yet. A class-level image of outdoor equipment would not document this housing, so the page deliberately leaves the media region out until real photography exists.
The case note can still be read against the installed use: one housing, one continuous mounting face and access features considered as part of the same assembly.
