One part is a normal order here. There is no minimum, no instant-quote widget guessing at your geometry, and no requirement that you already know which material you need. Send STEP, STL or 3MF, or describe in prose what the part has to survive, and an engineer will tell you what it should be made of and whether it is feasible before anything runs.
One-off work is ordinary work here.
A single bracket. A replacement for something discontinued. A housing you need to hold a board you have not finished designing yet. A jig that only has to exist once. All of these are ordinary work, and none of them is too small to send.
If you have geometry, send it. If you have a problem and a rough idea, describe it: what it mounts to, what it is exposed to, and which features have to fit something else. That is genuinely enough to start.
The part needs its working context, not just its geometry.
The intended end use and the service environment, because a bracket that lives at room temperature and one that sits above an exhaust are not the same part even if the geometry is identical.
Which features are fit-critical. Printed parts are anisotropic and orientation is a real decision, so knowing which surface has to seal or which bore has to accept a bearing changes how we build it.
Whether it exceeds our single-part envelope, and whether you are open to it being segmented and bonded if it does.
The first answer explains the proposed route before anything runs.
A feasibility email written by a person: what we would make it from, what we would change and why, and anything the analysis flagged. If something in the geometry will cost you money or reliability, you hear it before it is printed rather than after.
