A low-gloss PLA grade for parts where the surface should read as intentional rather than shiny.
PLA Matte
What it’s for
Enclosures, Panels and bezels, Cable management, Functional prototypes. We choose the final route against the geometry and service environment, not from the material name alone.
Key characteristics
- 01Matting additives scatter reflected light.
- 02That softens visible layer texture and gives a calm surface.
- 03It prints with the same low-warp character we expect from PLA.
- 04Use it for presentation models, covers, and visual prototypes.
In our shop
We use matte PLA when a review model has to communicate form without a glossy distraction.
It rewards a consistent orientation because broad faces read very evenly.

Design notes
- Choose it for surface intent, not for a higher-duty version of PLA.
- Keep critical mating faces accessible for support removal.
Technical values appear only after we approve a datasheet for the exact spool in use. If a specific property determines the job, tell us and we will discuss the material route.
