What happens to your files
You are being asked to send a company you may not have worked with the geometry of something you designed. This page says exactly what we do with it, so that decision is made on stated terms rather than on trust alone.
Four commitments
Your geometry is used to make your part
It is opened to review manufacturability, to choose the process and the material, and to produce what you asked for. That is the whole of it.
You keep every right in your design
Sending a file grants permission to make the part you asked for and nothing further. No licence, no ownership, no implied right to reuse the geometry.
An NDA can be in place before you send anything
We will sign yours on request, or supply ours. If a file is sensitive, put the agreement in place first rather than sending it and asking afterwards.
If a partner is involved, you are told
Some jobs are reviewed or sourced through assessed partners after technical assessment. The same obligation is passed on before anything is shared, and we tell you when it applies to your part.
What we will never do with it
- Train a model on it
- Use it as a reference for anyone else's work
- Publish it, or show it as an example
- Sell it, or pass it to anyone not working on your job
Send the part
If you want the agreement in place first, say so in the first message and nothing needs to be attached to it.
