A discontinued or damaged part has to return an assembly to use, even when the original drawing is missing or incomplete.

Materials we would shortlist

1. PETG

   A first shortlist for many indoor replacement-part reviews.

2. ABS

   Considered when the service environment changes the brief.

3. PA6

   Considered when the original part's behaviour needs a different material discussion.

4. PC

   Considered for a different stiffness and toughness balance.

Envelope considerations

When an original part is larger than a single build, we assess whether a deliberate assembly split preserves the interfaces that matter.
