A nest, stand or alignment block has to make a bench task repeatable without getting in the way of the person doing it.

   Considered when the task asks more of the tool's rigidity.

3. PLA

   Considered for a simple proof of the operator workflow.

Envelope considerations

Bench tools can be made as separate locating and support pieces when that makes storage, replacement or adjustment simpler.
