Brackets and mounts
A part has to hold a component in the right place while making fasteners, mating faces and the declared load path legible.
Design notes for this job
- Show the load path, mounting points and any component that can bear on the part.
- Use ribs and local geometry around fasteners rather than a uniformly heavy form.
- Printed parts are anisotropic, so orientation is selected around the declared service direction.
Envelope considerations
If a mount extends beyond a single build, we look for a joint away from the critical interface and review the assembled geometry.
