Return to the homepageDual-nozzle, enclosed, heated chamber
The X2D is a dual-nozzle, enclosed machine with an actively heated chamber. Its smaller envelope gives it a different place in the fleet: it is a second route for enclosed work rather than a substitute for the largest-volume machine.
The figures on this page are manufacturer specifications for the machine named. They are not measured by us and are not a guarantee of part performance.
We use it for enclosed jobs within its own envelope and alongside the H-series when a repeat order needs the same reviewed setup applied in parallel. A repeat order is still checked against its file revision before that happens.
Enclosed work inside its envelope, and parallel capacity alongside the H-series on repeat runs. Its 300 C nozzle covers everything up to the high-performance grades.
It is right for catalogue materials whose requirements resolve within this machine's nozzle, bed and chamber specifications, and for geometry that benefits from a dual-nozzle support approach. The review confirms the actual combination rather than assuming it from a material name.
The decision is recorded in the feasibility response, together with any issue that would change the design route. If the selected single-piece envelope is not enough, we discuss segmentation, keys and bonding before production rather than treating the machine limit as a hidden constraint.
