Mass is the whole argument. Every gram in a frame, arm or gimbal mount is a gram off endurance, and a part that saves weight by being flimsy costs more than it saves. Vibration and repeated hard landings decide the design more than peak load.

The usual shortlist for arms and frame plates where stiffness per gram is the whole point.
- PETG-CF
Considered for brackets and mounts wanting stiffness without the drying discipline of a nylon.
- TPU-95A
Reviewed for isolators, feet and anything absorbing landing energy.
- ASA
Considered for housings that live outdoors between flights.
Design notes for this job
- Tell us the flight mass budget and where this part sits in it. That changes the material before it changes the geometry.
- Print orientation decides where an arm breaks. Say which axis takes the landing load.
- We make frames, mounts, gimbal and payload housings, and prototype airframes. We do not supply flight-critical structure whose failure loses the aircraft unless that is separately agreed in writing.
